The well co-ordinated terrorist attack, clumsy attempts by myriad agencies to take credit for valiantly executed operations, jejune statements by pompous politicians and the helpless sense of insecurity gripping the public intellect racked the largest democracy on 26/11 and the days that followed. For more than 60 hours, debilitate democratic infrastructure danced on the tunes played by meager terrorists masterminded from across the border. The devil played havoc with each & every, poor & rich , men & women, common & army men. The 9/11 like effect was imposed by not only hijacking some hundred hostages at iconic hospitality brands but also hijacking the media from across the globe and hijacking people's mindset filling it with fright. The smart, cosmopolitan, fluent English speaking young terrorists were not only equipped with AK-47s , Chinese Hand-Grenades but also with pathetic and wretch media coverage and goofy central and state politicians.

Misinformed media coverage gave dramatic stories to a credulous audience. One example of unverified reporting was the news about second gun firing at CST on Friday around 2 p.m. For half an hour all media channels were airing the hearsay news about another round of gun fire followed by gainsay police statement clearing the air off the actual situation. The scare sagacity was shown, by airing the real time operations of the commandos, giving helping hand to the terrorist understand each and every move of our security forces. The height of dimwit was reached when handicapped state of Marcos(Marine Commando), without blue print of hotel building, shown bare open making our preparedness for terror-fighting a laugh.
Our politicians as always fiddle as innocence die. The promises of being well prepared are sung as the old melodies. But who will make them understand that enough is enough, happened years ago.
